He has taught at Pratt Institute and has been invited to sit on architectural juries at Wesleyan University, NJIT, Pratt, and Idaho State University. He founded his interdisciplinary project, Atelier of Digital Design (formerly Conceptual Design Group LLC) , in 2004, and has made significant contributions at multiple renowned architecture offices, including Asymptote Architecture and Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates. He holds a masters from SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture).
Steenblik acts from the philosophy that interdisciplinary collaborations infuse spaces with nuanced solutions, and is interested in creating urban complexity and intricacy on the macro scale and inspiring, interactive spaces on the micro scale. Incorporating advanced digital tools and sustainability offers new opportunities to this ongoing project.
